I used to joke that I was the world’s #1 sweet tooth.

I was proud of being a chocoholic - in fact, chocolate was my best friend. My comfort. My reward.

Every night, I’d declare the kitchen closed… then find myself back in the pantry five minutes later, unwrapping a chocolatey treat I had promised myself not to touch.

I felt sluggish, and by 3 pm, I needed a sweet snack just to function.

I thought this was normal.

I thought I just needed more discipline. More willpower.

I’d tried portion control and being “good” all day so I could earn a treat at night.

But I ended up out of control with my cravings more times than I can count.

Eventually, I hit a point where I didn’t want food deciding how I felt, what I wore, how much energy I had, or how I felt about myself.

But I didn’t want to give up my comfort foods!

No chocolate?! No way!!

Unwillingly, I decided to experiment with cutting sugar and processed foods for two weeks.
